Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since her age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in securing her first job as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later recruited to the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. After 2009, the news reporter moved to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues, drug trafficking, and other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as the Spanish reporter at the newscast from 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter on the newscast of 9 p.m. in English and a Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. In addition, she was frequently called upon to be an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. She was also given more duties. She also did segments on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. The show was made a sports anchor for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. As a sports anchor she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta's parents hail native to Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. She is younger than her sister. In 1992, the family relocated to Miami after moving from Mexico in the US. Soon after, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. In June of the year 2006, Antonietta spent a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school but already knew what she was going to do. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. Following the completion of her high school education, she enrolled in the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for a number of years, was a friend. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
